Janis Siegel (vocalist) has been a member of the Grammy Award-winning vocal group The Manhattan Transfer Since 1972. Her first solo album, Experiment in White, was released in 1981, and her second album, At Home, was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Jazz Vocalist. Her new solo album will be available on Palmetto Records in late August 2013. From all we have heard, we expect it to be another gem. Janis never disappoints. Janis sits down with Studio Jams producer Tom Emmi to talk about the early days of her career, her passion for music and the many variables of performance preparation.
