Hot! Roy “Futureman” Wooten

Drummer Roy Wooten (born October 13, 1957) is best known by his stage name Futureman. He is an inventor, musician and composer. He was also a member of the jazz quartet Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, along with banjoist Bela Fleck. Born in Hampton, Virginia (USA), Roy was raised in a military family and therefore traveled frequently. He and his brothers moved to Nashville, TN (USA)in the mid-1980s. All of his brothers are musicians. Wooten is a five-time Grammy Award-winner. He plays the drumitar, a novel electronic instrument of his own invention.
