Carter Beauford (drums) Carter Beauford is an American drummer, percussionist and founding member of The Dave Matthews Band. He is known for his ability to adapt to a variety of genres, and for both his ambidextrous and his open hand drumming styles. He plays the drums and sings backing vocals in the band. “What If God Was One Of Us” (7:08) This track was recorded back on March 24, 2001 at the legendary Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia, PA (USA) as we taped a couple of different episodes of Studio Jams. It features its writer, Eric Bazilian (The Hooters), on guitar and vocals, Mike Boone on bass, Rod Morgenstein on drums, Jay Davidson on saxophone, Joe Mass on guitar and the late T. Lavitz on organ. It has yet to appear on any particular Studio Jams episode.
