A Home for Serious Music Makers!

Hot! Music Notes – December 2012

THIS MONTH: Our featured MUSICMAKERS this month are drummers. First, Roy “Futureman” Wooten takes us inside his unique instrument, the “drumitar.”  You will see how it was built and why it came to be made in the first place. We also have a nice segment from Dave Hanlon. Based in Syracuse, NY (USA), Dave is a highly accomplished musician and clinician. He is also featured on a new episode (#53) that will soon be released.

STUDIO JAMS MUSIC CLUB: In the Music club this month – back by request – it’s the return of Chick Corea on MUSICLAB! Together with host Gerald Veasley, he shares some history and performs a few tunes. We also feature a track from our brand new episode (#51). As you will see, it’s a terrific take on the Stevie Wonder  classic “Superstition” – with the great Josh Dion on both drums and vocals, Mark Doyle on guitar, Ron France on bass, and both Donald Robinson and Mark Nanni on keys. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. As usual, there is another complete episode of Studio Jams to enjoy – this time it’s Episode #34, our first International episode, with Scandinavian guitar master Soren Reiff, bassist Jannik Jensen, pianist Poul Reimann and drummer Henrik Engqvist. Plus, another free unreleased Studio Jams “Bonus Track” for you to download. This month it’s “Born Under A Bad Sign” with, among others, guitarist Michael Sembello.

It really pays to become a member of this hip, new music community. The STUDIO JAMS MUSIC CLUB is a “members only” club, with an annual membership fee of just $24. There is a FREE PREVIEW from the STUDIO JAMS MUSIC CLUB page on this site. Don’t miss out – join the club…TODAY!

“Studio Jams is a unique concept for those interested in seeing the real thing when it comes to music creativity. I feel it is the best presentation of musicians doing what they do best in a pure creative uninhibited environment. Keep those jams comin’!”
