Janis Siegel (vocalist) has been a member of the Grammy Award-winning vocal group The Manhattan Transfer Since 1972. Her first solo album, Experiment in White, was released in 1981, and her second album, At Home, was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Jazz Vocalist. In this segment, Janis talks with Studio Jams producer Tom Emmi about self-producing her album “Nightsongs,” working in the studio and what’s up next for her.
