Hot! Larry Hoppen

Larry Hoppen (guitar, vocals) was a co-founder and “the voice” of the classic American band Orleans. Tens of millions know Larry’s uplifting tenor from the hits Still the OneDance With MeSpring Fever andLove Takes Time. Larry was a tremendously gifted musician – equally at home on keyboards or guitar and was fluent on bass, melodica and trumpet. He performed and/or recorded with Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Livingston Taylor, Lulu, Graham Parker, Blues Traveler, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Wariner, Michael Franks, Levon Helm, Michael Brecker, Chet Atkins, John Sebastian and Bela Fleck, among others. He joined us for this taping to talk a little about songwriting.

“Studio Jams is a unique concept for those interested in seeing the real thing when it comes to music creativity. I feel it is the best presentation of musicians doing what they do best in a pure creative uninhibited environment. Keep those jams comin’!”
