“500 Miles Away” (7:08) This track was recorded on July 15, 2007 at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark as we taped Episode #34 of Studio Jams. It features one of this month’s Featured MUSICMAKERS, Scandinavian guitar master Soren Reiff, along with Henrik Engqvist on drums, Jannik Jensen on bass and Poul Reimann on keyboards. It is an interesting first pass performance of the song. A second and final take of this classic Chick Corea tune is what appears on the episode.

“Blue Thumb” (5:42) his track was recorded on November 1, 2007 at Star City Recording in Bethlehem, PA (USA), as we taped Episode #37 of Studio Jams. It features Gil Parris on guitar, Chico Huff on bass, Vic Stevens on drums and New Yorker Ted Cruz on piano. It is a nice take, with innovative solos from both Gil and Ted, that, unfortunately, didn’t make it into the final program – due primarily to time restraints.
